Frequently Asked Questions From Our Patients
Program Structure
The length of treatment varies depending on each person’s needs, progress, and clinical recommendations. Most Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) typically last 2–4 weeks, while Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) often continue for 4–8 weeks or longer. Our clinical team regularly reviews progress and adjusts the treatment plan to ensure each client receives the appropriate level and duration of care.
Yes. Many clients begin treatment in PHP and step down to IOP as they make progress. This gradual transition allows individuals to maintain strong clinical support while increasing independence and returning to daily responsibilities such as work, school, or family life.
Yes. We understand that many individuals have work, school, or family obligations. Evening and/or weekend group options may be available depending on the program schedule. Our admissions team can help you find a program time that fits your needs.
PHP is a more structured, full-day program that typically runs 5 days per week for several hours each day, including group therapy, individual sessions, and clinical support.
IOP provides a flexible schedule, usually 3–5 days per week for a few hours per day, allowing participants to continue working, attending school, or managing other responsibilities while receiving treatment.
Clinical Care & Therapy
Yes. Our programs include a combination of individual therapy and group therapy. Individual sessions allow clients to work one-on-one with a therapist on personal challenges, while group therapy provides peer support, shared learning, and skill-building in a supportive environment.
Yes. We support clients who are participating in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) when it is clinically appropriate. Our team works collaboratively with medical providers to ensure medications are safely integrated into the overall treatment plan.
Family involvement can be an important part of recovery. When appropriate and with the client’s consent, we offer family education, therapy sessions, or support resources to help loved ones better understand the recovery process and learn how to provide healthy support.
Yes. Each client is assigned a primary therapist or case manager who helps coordinate care, track progress, and support treatment goals throughout the program. This ensures continuity of care and personalized attention.
On your first day, you’ll complete an orientation and comprehensive clinical assessment with our team. This helps us understand your history, goals, and treatment needs. You’ll also meet staff members, review the program schedule, and begin participating in therapeutic activities or group sessions. Our goal is to make the first day welcoming, supportive, and informative.
Admissions & Eligibility
Yes. At MindSpace, we specialize in dual diagnosis care — meaning we treat addiction and mental health conditions together, not separately. Our integrated approach recognizes that these challenges are deeply connected, and addressing both simultaneously leads to more lasting recovery. Our clinical team includes addiction specialists, therapists, and psychiatrists who collaborate on a unified care plan tailored to you.
No referral is needed. You can reach out to MindSpace directly and we'll guide you through the admissions process from the very first call. Our team will conduct an initial assessment to understand your needs and recommend the most appropriate level of care — no paperwork barriers or waiting for a referral.
In most cases, you can begin quickly, often within days of your initial assessment. We understand that when someone is ready for help, timing matters. Our admissions team works efficiently to get you started as soon as possible, and we'll be transparent about any timelines from the very first conversation.
Insurance and Costs
We believe cost should never be a barrier to getting help. If you don't have insurance, our admissions team will work with you to explore all available options, including self-pay arrangements, state-funded programs, and financing solutions. Reach out and we'll find a path forward together.
Yes. MindSpace offers sliding scale fees based on financial need, as well as flexible payment plans. We're committed to making quality mental health and addiction care accessible, and our team will work with you to find a payment structure that fits your situation.
Costs vary depending on the level of care, program length, and your insurance coverage. At MindSpace, we'll provide a full, transparent breakdown of costs during your admissions consultation, no hidden fees. With insurance, many clients find their out-of-pocket costs are significantly reduced. We'll help you verify your benefits and understand exactly what to expect before you commit to anything.
